A113 Love Stamp by FaithFirefly A113 Love Stamp by FaithFirefly
I was suprised one of these wasn't around yet. :D Whoever knows and adores the meaning behind this beautiful code, I salute you! :salute: And then glomp you. :iconnewglomp:

EDIT: Uhhh, a lot of you seem to think this thing started with Wall-E. ^^; Nooooo, it's been around long before that. Pretty much every Pixar movie has had some kind of nod to it. It originally was derived from the animation room number at CalArts - a school that many "Pixarians" attended. Let's review all the places we've seen this number? :) And let me know if I forgot anything.

Toy Story
- The license plate number on numerous cars

Toy Story 2
- Mentioned in the airport over the speaker in "Lasset Air Flight A113" (Also a nod to the director, John Lasseter)

The Incredibles
- The meeting room number in which Mr. Incredible is summoned to
- Referenced in the aircraft hanger the Incredibles sneak into, "A13"
- Seen when Helen sneaks into the control room and spots where her husband is being held in "section A1, cell 13"

Cars
- Mater's license plate number
- The number on the train Lightning almost crashes with

Ratatouille
- The code on Git's ear tag (Git is the huuuuuuge and bulky rat that lives in Remy's colony)

Wall-E
- The essential directive number logged into Auto's programming

Up
- I've only seen it twice, but I seem to remember it being a room number aboard The Spirit of Adventure

Also.....

The Brave Little Toaster
- The room number of the Master (Rob's) apartment

Lilo & Stitch
- The license plate number on numerous cars and trucks

My mind's a little off right now, so I know I forgot a few. I'll add them as I remember them.

I think it counts, Planes: On Bravo's sides are the numbers "113", possibly a reference to A113? I'm not sure.

Yeah, liked looking for these since I realized it was a thing. I noticed it when I watched the Toaster movie, but found out it was an injoke years later. Funnily enough, I've seen it in one of my favorite movies, and that's not even a Pixar movie...

There are also even more obscure ones from live action movies. For example, at the beginning of the fourth Mission Impossible movie, the agent Trevor Hanaway has a graduation ring he uses to stab someone with. The side of the ring says "A113".

The in-joke started with "The Brave Little Toaster", which was animated by CalArts, John Lasseter, Joe Ranft, and Brad Bird worked on the film. Go watch it.

Found it in Cars 2! Starting with Mater's license number, then immediately followed by a whole scene that was just super-saturated with it. It was kind of amusing, since I almost didn't trust what I saw at first--the license plate was onscreen for a split second, just enough for me to ask myself, "Was that A113?!" and then, boom, there it was in a different form and I spazzed. I was practically squeeing in my seat the whole time, and couldn't pay attention to anything that the characters were saying. XD And then another instance of it right afterwards! I almost couldn't believe it. It was like the filmmakers were deliberately trying to help me see it. Thank you, Pixar! Now if only I could've found your Pizza Planet truck.

I do still tend to associate the number with AUTO, though, as he was more bound and influenced by it than any of the other characters in the Pixar movies, so I was pleased to see it on the tail of another flyboy this time around ;)

 Funny, I went and saw it recently, and I totally missed it. :o More enveloped in the story. Where was it? By your comment, it was on the tail of Finn's jet? (Syddeley, I think?)

Yeah, it was, I saw it when he was flying away, and directly before that, it was on the bottom left corner of the file that they had open that whole scene when Mater was talking with the two spy-cars. I couldn't stop staring at it and squeeing!

Another instance of A113: In The Princess and the Frog, it's the number of the streetcar Tiana catches to go to work in the opening number, "Down Here in New Orleans." :D

I love this, especially the colors you used.
