Prince Tengfei, Hidden Heir

Days of lasting dark dragged on for the lord and lady of Gongmen City. After such a horrific incident that led to the banishment of their one and only son, Shen. Through their heartbreak, Lord Jin and Lady Ah-Lam painfully decided that they needed to focus on the future of their city.

Another heir was needed to inherit the golden and lapis throne of the Tower of the Sacred Flame.

The lord and lady conceived a second child - a male - brown, healthy, and a seemingly ideal successor to his father's responsibilities. The young prince's parents again appointed the kindly Soothsayer to care for the child - a decision that came with some difficulty on the aging goat's part. Yet, through it all, little Tengfei grew into a shy but healthy little chick.

And yet the decision for a new heir was made none too soon, as Lady Ah-Lam was taken ill a mere few years after her chick's birth and passed away within days. Her husband fell to the same fate not long after, leaving the young prince confused and - at the tender age of four - not yet nearly suitable to take the throne of Gongmen.

Master Thundering Rhino of The Masters' Council stepped in oversee the situation, immediately deciding that Shen's threat of return was too great a danger to the child prince. In the midst of these darkest days of Gongmen, young Prince Tengfei was tearfully taken from his nanny and sent away to a distant city for protection. Over the years, Master Thundering Rhino and his students continued to protect Gongmen City and discreetly prepare a place for the future Lord Tengfei. Growing up in the secret city, the quiet prince was brought up learning in the ways of a commanding lord and in the art of combat training. He was reminded as he grew older that Shen had never known about his existence, and the time might soon come when the two brothers would clash.

Okay, so this is sorta an experiment/practice/FanOC bio. KFP peacocks are HARD. I really don't know how much I expect to do them. Also, I tried my first hand at "drawing" "feathers" on tiny hatchling Teng up there. Does it work?

So yeah, I find that most of my KFP characters are pretty much obsolete now that the sequel is out. And Shen is really an awesome character, so I wanted something involving him. Also, this seems like a logical reason why the Council would've kept the Tower of the Sacred Flame the way it was. I mean, it was in pretty good shape for being in 20 years of disarray. Also seems like a reason they would've kept the Soothsayer around for so long.

So yes, he's just hatched out of his egg at the top there. He's about 1-2 in the one with him in red ( and I are doing an RP with him and his Nana, and he's about this age right now. ), and about 4 in the one with him in the aqua. And he's a teen/young adult at the top there, about the time of Kung Fu Panda 2. And I know male peacocks have white on their face, but I couldn't get it to look right.

AAAAAAND, I've figured out a new coloring system! It's kinda like that of , but it involves Illustrator CS5 and allows some quicker coloring while still keeping the sketch look.
